Azowipettes are designed to disinfect hard surfaces and other objects, they are not intended to be used to clear spills, as this will reduce their effectiveness. 70% Isopropyl alcohol is effective against a wide range of both gram-positive and gram-negative vegetative bacteria.

Azowipette cartons should be stored at room temperature. In temperate climates the shelf life of sealed AZOWIPES is almost indefinite. Once opened the actual life will depend upon individual storage conditions. When not in use keep the plastic lid closed.

ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION

After all the wipes in a canister have been .. used, any small amount of residual liquid can be flushed to waste with water. The canister and lid can then be recovered and recycled according to current legislation. Dissolves in water; lost within a day by evaporation and dissolution. Readily biodegradable, oxidises rapidly by photochemical reactions in air. Does not bio-accumulate. Can pose a significant risk of oxygen depletion in aquatic systems if discharged in large volumes.

TESTED AGAINST ORGANISMS

A series of tests have been carried out on this product with regard to how effective it is against various organisms. Each test organism inoculated into a Triptone Soya Broth and incubated overnight at 300C ñ 1 "C.

A Large metal surface similar to hospital surfaces divided into 5cm squares, disinfected using alcohol and allowed to air dry. Each overnight broth of test organisms were diluted 1:1 00 in MRD to represent clean conditions and MRDBA to represent dirty surface conditions.

One of the squares was wiped with a test-alcohol wipe, left for one minute then swabbed with cotton tipped swabs over the full surface of the square. Each Swab was then cultivated and the colonies were then counted and the number of colony forming units (cfu) per swab calculated.

The results showed that the wipes were effective against the following:-

E.Coli,

Coliforms

Listeria

Staphylococcus Aureus,

Presumptive Faecal Streptococci

Enterococcus Faecalis,

Bacilllus Subtilis,

Presumptive Bacillus Careus

Candida Albicans,

MRSA,

Psuedomonas Aeruginosa,

Streptococcus Pyogenis,

Proteus Mirabilis

Presumptive Clostridium Perfringens

Presumptive Entero Bacteriaecae

Yeast

Mould

Salmonella
