• Health screening & contact training document to be completed by all staff, students & faculty before every course.
• Temperature checks will be mandatory for all staff, faculty & students on admission to the training and workplace environment.
• Reduced student numbers in the classroom.
• PPE - Masks, nitrile gloves, visors, gowns and aprons will be provided to all students, staff and faculty.
• Hand sanitary stations provided to each student training zone.
• Hand washing facilities available.
• Social distancing in the classroom.
• Isolation room for medically unwell person.
• 1 adult & infant manikin, 1 AED, bandages, slings, dressings per student.
• Full body manikin to facilitate demonstration skills and assessments in the classroom.
• Ventilations in the form of mouth to mouth and use of barrier devices will be demonstrated on the regulators training resources.
• Students can perform the skills of barrier device placement, correct seal and combining compressions and ventilations without actually ventilating manikins. N.B. The word "ventilate" will be used as a muscle memory response instead of physically ventilating manikins.
• Hands only CPR is to be promoted for lay-person rescue as procedure until Covid-19 has been removed from Ireland, or unless otherwise specified by Phecc/IHF/HSE.
• Training equipment is cleaned & disinfected before and after every use.
• Full site cleaning and disinfection will be carried out pre & post course.
• Common contact areas and surfaces are cleaned and disinfected periodically throughout the day.
